Our Mission

About YACD

Our US-based 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation exists to ensure that youth throughout Africa receive the highest levels of career professional support possible.

We help youth identify and prepare for careers that add long term value & meaningful purpose to their lives.

Classroom Coaching
YACD's after school classroom coaching supports the sustainable development of needed social & work life skills. Core competencies such as goal setting, workplace conflict resolution, effective organizational management & English Literacy (ESL) are a few of the many areas that are program participants are trained to be proficient in.
Career Assessment Testing
We utilize online career assessment testing as a tool. This testing uncovers to our youth how their personal interests & gifts may impact their success and fulfillment in a wide range of career field options.
Career Mentorship
We strive to physically assign each program participant with a professional mentor that is active in each student's unique career field of interest. This process progressively supports our organization's ongoing youth vocational training & development initiatives.
Real World Training
YACD career mentoring creates a safe and professional space for our youth participants to ask questions, receive counsel and shadow professionals in real life workplace environments when possible.
